The Town Pump Bouldering Series

Presented by Teton Mountaineering and STIO, in partnership with The American Alpine Club and the Teton Climbers Ranch, Smith, CAMP-USA, Sterling, Black Diamond, La Sportiva, Petzl, and JTEC The 2022 Town Pump takes place every Tuesday evening, May 31-August 23, from 6-8 p.m. at the Teton Boulder Park. Music and weekly prizes from our generous sponsors are provided. Special events run throughout the summer, starting with the JHHS Mountaineering Club Youth Competition on Tuesday, May 31, from 4:30-6 PM, just before the season opening Town Pump from 6-8 pm.
The Town Pump is a not-for-profit collaboration between Teton County / Jackson Parks and Recreation Department, the Teton Climbers Coalition, and volunteers from the Jackson Hole climbing community. The Pump generates money for climbing holds for the Teton Boulder Park and fosters camaraderie in the absence of the town’s climbing gym, which closed in 2014. Participation is open to everyone, individuals and teams.
COVID-19 REQUIREMENTS – PLEASE REMEMBER TO BRING A MASK AND HAND SANITIZER. WE WILL BE LIMITING THE SHARING OF EQUIPMENT. WE WILL BE FOLLOWING RECOMMENDED CDC GUIDELINES.
Arc'teryx sponsored climbing clinics provided by Exum Mountain Guides
Welcome to the 4th year of Town Pump clinics in partnership with the generous support from Arc’teryx and taught by Exum Mountain Guides. These clinics are FREE and are designed to help you build better technical skills for the mountains. Teton Mountaineering has a list of what gear you will need for each clinic and that list is also below. There will be extra gear on hand. If you want to participate at the highest level then bring the gear on the list, but you are also welcome to come and observe, take notes and ask questions. See the clinic description below. The first clinic is June 9th at the boulder park from 6-8pm and will be focused on backing up your rappel. The rest of the dates are being determined, they will be held from 6pm-8pm at the Teton Boulder Park. For more clinic information please visit the Exum Events page.
